NEW TECHNOLOGY TO DETECT VIRAL LEAKAGE
There is much concern between world health organizations and regulatory
agencies regarding the leakage of protective barrier materials, such as
latex, for the use in condoms, surgical gloves and other polymers for micro
filtration membranes. The concern is due to the fact that disease
causing viruses such as the AIDS and the hepatitis B can pass through undetectable
small holes present in these materials, thus infecting the user with the
virus.
Now, a new technology has been developed to conclusively test and measure
even the smallest holes in thin film materials. The ViruShield
invention uses multiple electron beams in open atmosphere to test and measure
the porosity and anomalies of nonconductive materials. Systems are
now available for the on-line, real-time, nondestructive testing and measuring
of latex and other types of polymers for holes having a diameter smaller
than the size of the smallest virus.
The ConverTec Corporation was founded by the inventors to develop and
market this technology. We are now in a position to offer this technology
and trademark to responsible manufacturers under a long term licensing
arrangement.

J. Gormley, President.
